I just feel like the ergo ones are kind of ugly (maybe it's just me). The only chair i would rather have is a soft pad management chair but I just haven't found one at a price i was willing to pay. They may be comfortable, but all these chairs predate the ergonomics movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s, when designers and scientists started thinking about the long-term health effects of sitting in bad chairs all day. I didn't like the lack of head support on the classic Eames, and thought that was that, I wouldn't be getting one. I bought this as a cheap temporary chair in 2013: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008OTSEXY/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_M3T1_ST1_dp_1. It's simple, firm but not "hard" and supportive (though I hate typical plush American chairs).
The Eames Subreddit. The relatively low backs don't help, either. Cookies help us deliver our Services. This question seems to be base on the premise that mid-century office chairs are typically not both stylish and comfortable. It would be more of an excuse to get one, since I've been thinking about getting a lounge chair anyway. Unfortunately, if you want an office chair with good ergonomics, then, as I wrote here, you don't really have any options. Log in sign up. I am not going to suggest an Eames lounge chair replica, but there are many other options you can explore for that extra reading space you want. some like to have a good lumbar support, some like their armrests to be in THAT exact position etc. I use one with a teak svend madsen desk and it looks ok.
Whole night might hurt your back.
I personally think your best bet is one of those ergonomic kneeler chairs by Rybo Balans. 1. The Leap is quite minimalist and wouldn't look that out of place, especially if you can find an older leather version with chrome arms. How comfortable is it compared with the Aeron chair for a 9-5 job? Now that I'm working from home, I'm impressed how comfortable the executive is. If I had the income, I'd be typing this from one at this very moment in this very location in my house. But the Aeron is probably slightly better--maybe not as "comfortable" but better for my posture. I just couldn't find anything with both attributes under $1k. Have a new real one from 2014 Am 6'1 210lbs and can sit in it comfortably all damn day.
Ask it here! Same sentiments from a 6'3" person. I was surprised to like the tall given that I'm only 5-8, but I don't know why anyone would get the classic over the tall.
