Just wish now i had read the reviews before i bought the damn thing as i cant afford another car now not sure what im going to do the only good thind thing is it is nice and high… Long distance motorway driving within reasonable speeds gives best results.

For the EuroNCAP safety tests, the Meriva performed really well with a five-star rating and achieved excellent ratings in the adult occupant, child occupant and safety assist categories. also we have problems with the heating/aircon, this is the most unreliable car that I have ever owned in over fifty years of motoring.the electronics (auto gearbox-hazards-dashboard information )and much more have all failed- on average every thousand miles.the auto box failed again 4-10-2009-no foreward or reverse could be engaged.vauxhall has refused to either take the car back or extend the warranty.

As is the norm, if you’re doing more long range driving the diesel is the better option. Had wheel alingment checked 3 times even at Vauxhall. After seeing the Watchdog report I took it to our local Vauxhall dealer & they ran a diagnostic test which showed a problem with the steering rack. All cars have their blind spots (even RR) and one needs to learn to move one's head accordingly. Its compact size makes it easy to manoeuvre around town but while the tall shape means there's good headroom, the boxy profile is quite ungainly and the Meriva isn't particularly stylish. Each year after that is £140 for all models. Although its rivals — such as the Ford B-Max and Nissan Note — are slightly more expensive, they do have more features and although the finished product from Vauxhall is quite good, you could say that more could have been done to make it more attractive. mcclory
The 1.3 is rather slow and a bit noisy. In 2010 Vauxhall launched an all-new Meriva and it was no longer the cutesy, somewhat built-down-to-a-price thing that the old car was. Don't worry!!!!! Suits my needs perfectly. I can fit all my golf equipment in the back without having to move the rear seats forward. suedevenish999 It has lots of equipment eg cruise control traction control, heated front windscreen and with heated mirrors.
